You can pick up / drop off the car with free cost anywhere in Heraklion including Heraklion Airport and Port and anywhere in Chania airport or port. For further information regarding the pick up place, please contact us.

The minimum age to rent a car in Crete is 24 years old with driving license held for at least 2 years and for vehicles up to 1,0L-1,1L-1,2L engine capacity. The minimum age depends on the vehicle category. There is an additional insurance charge for drivers under 24. See more about car makes and sizes in our terms and conditions.

All our cars are insured with Full Collision Damage Waiver (FCDW) insurance and Third part (TP) insurance with zero (0) excess amount,  depending on the vehicle category.

You can pay for your rental using all valid payment means: cash, credit or debit card, bank transfer e.t.c. We accept all major credit cards. Visa, Mastercard, American express. Remember, with us you pay only when you take the car.

We have the best calculation system for rentals. All car rentals in Crete have a 24h based calculation, which means that you have to rent for at least one day. With us, if you pass for a few hours the drop-off time then you will be charged just for the hours you are late.

• The client has to contact Athenscars telephone numbers which are written on the Rental Agreement and the Reservation sheet. We will give you information and guidelines.
• The car must not be moved from the place of accident until the insurance or the local Police of the area arrive.
• The Client has to fill a written statement of what happened.
• Also, the Client must report the accident at the time it happened and not hours or days later.
• For negligent or drunk driving, or driving under influence of drugs or on unauthorized roads/coated/dusty/land roads, stone roads, driving to prohibited areas/ obvious acts of disregards to the vehicle, the client is responsible for the full amount of charges.
